Golf is the greatest game of all. What other sport presents you with the opportunity to:-
- Play for the whole of your active life
- Play on courses all around the world, where championships have been won and lost
- Compete equally through a balanced handicapping system
- Play together as a family, often spanning 3 or even 4 generations

There has been some great golf on the television this year and you will notice how professionals get their shot distances consistently correct. This is not just down to the help they get from their caddie but by knowing exactly how far they hit each club.
Next time you are on the range, go through this simple process. Hit 6 balls with each of your Rescue club, your odd numbered irons and each of your wedges. Make a note of the average distance for each club and those averages will give you the distances in between the odd irons for the even ones too.
About 2 hours of your time will be rewarded with more accurate clubbing for the rest of the season and lower scores as a result. |
